A Commissioner of Oaths administers oaths or affirmations, verifying that the signer understands and swears to the truth of the document's contents. The signer will also need to provide original photo identification.

The Municipality of West Perth does not have a Notary Public on staff. For notary services, please contact a lawyer or public notary.
Fee
- $10.00 for West Perth residents.
- $20.00 for individuals residing outside of West Perth.
Payable by cash, debit, or credit card.
Documents
Common Documents We Can Witness Include:
- consent letters for children travelling out of country
- vehicle transfers
- immunization exemptions
- foreign pension or life pension statements
Examples of Documents We Cannot Witness Include:
- wills
- statutory declarations
- power of attorney documents
- divorce papers or separation agreements
- real estate documents, including transfer of land
