Road Work Notice: Huron Road & St. George Street Intersection
West Perth Operations crews will be completing road work at the intersection of Huron Road and St. George Street (Highways 8 & 23) in Mitchell on Tuesday, October 27, from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
During this work, the centre lane will be closed. Drivers are asked to use caution when travelling through the area and follow all posted traffic control measures.

West Perth Elects New Council for the 2026-2030 Term
West Perth residents have spoken, and the unofficial results of the 2026 Municipal Election are in.
Congratulations to:

Council Members Mitchell Ward: Phillip O'Donnell, Ben Davey, Murray Rose
Hibbert Ward: Landon Smith, Walter McKenzie
Logan Ward: Lisa Rapien, Ryan Duck
Fullarton Ward: Alex Foster, Steve Herold (acclaimed)
Voter turnout for this election was 46.3%, with 15 declined ballots recorded.
Results remain unofficial until certified by the Municipal Clerk in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act.
Mitchell Ward Fall Leaf Collection Begins October 19
Bagged leaf collection for Mitchell Ward residents starts October 19 and runs through mid-November.
Use paper bags only
Leaves only (no branches, grass, or other yard waste)
Bags must be under 25 kg (50 lbs)
Place bags on the boulevard, clear of vehicles and other obstructions
Collection crews will not enter private property
