The Municipality of West Perth welcomes opportunities to expand and broaden our local business community. The Municipality is very fortunate to have a number of resources available for individuals desiring to expand or establish businesses.
Business Development resources within our community are provided through a few different agencies.
The Perth County Economic Development Office has been established on a county-wide basis to assist the business community in developing and expanding businesses within our local communities. The Perth County Economic Development Office has demonstrated that they have the expertise and almost any information you need, and in the cases they don't, they can help direct you where to get what you need.
The Perth County Economic Development Office staff are available in Stratford at the County offices. Please contact the Perth County Economic Development Office directly to schedule what works best for you.
Additional information regarding Economic Development opportunities can be obtained through the Municipal office located in Mitchell at 169 St. David Street. Information regarding planning and zoning matters and permitted land uses should be directed to the Administrative Assistant to the Building Department.

The Economic Development Committee hosts an annual Business, Industry and Agriculture Breakfast to provide the West Perth business community with a forum for networking and an exchange of information.
In 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, in lieu of an in-person breakfast, the Economic Development Committee created a "Year In Review" newsletter and organized a virtual presentation and Question and Answer session. View the 2020 virtual meeting here.
