BIA Bucks
What is the BIA buck?
This is truly a gift that is perfect for everyone! The BIA buck is the standard dollar used on a regular basis by consumers in our community. BIA bucks are an economic booster to our BIA & Associate Members and enables consumers to support BIA retailers.
For special events, the BIA will donate BIA bucks to be awarded as prizes. Many local organizations have purchased BIA bucks as staff appreciation gifts and for other types of employee incentives.
BIA Bucks can now be purchased year round at a 5% discount, except during the Christmas Promotion. The Christmas Promotion runs from mid-November to December 31st each year. BIA Bucks can be purchased for a 10% discount during this promotion.
How can I pay for my BIA Bucks?
Via cash only.
They don't! BIA Bucks can be purchased at the Municipal Office and redeemed at businesses all year round. Similar to a gift certificate, they do not have an expiration date.
What denominations are available when purchasing?
BIA Bucks are available in $5.00, $10.00 and $20.00 denominations. These denominations are available year round.
What is the BIA Bucks Christmas Promotion?
When you buy your BIA Bucks between Monday November 17, 2025 and January 2, 2026 you will receive a 10% discount off your purchase. Dates are subject to change annually.
When you purchase and use your BIA Bucks by January 6, 2025, be sure to write your name and phone number on the back as you'll be entered into a draw to win more BIA Bucks.
NOTE - There is a $250.00 per person limit when purchasing. If you are a business wishing to purchase a large quantity for your staff, please contact our BIA Coordinator in advance.
Which businesses accept BIA Bucks?
All members of the BIA including Associate Members can accept BIA Bucks. Please see below for a list of businesses accepting them. NOTE - this list is subject to change, so please check back often.
How does my business get reimbursed?
Redemptions can be completed at the Municipal Office.
Fill out this form, print it out, returning it to the Municipal Office with the BIA bucks you've acquired.

How often can my business submit for reimbursement?
As often as you like! Take your BIA Bucks to the Municipal Office and staff will complete a reimbursement form to be reimbursed the same week. Redemptions can be received via cheque or EFT payment. We urge businesses to sign up for EFT payment to avoid delays in receiving your redemptions.
