Property Standards
Our Property Standards By-law regulates property maintenance and occupancy standards. These regulations ensure public safety in or around existing buildings or on vacant land.
If you have concerns about a property standards issue, please visit the Request Portal to report a concern online.
Please note that complaints may be used as evidence in a court of law should this matter proceed to that level.
The By-law Enforcement Officer or Building Department will investigate and determine if the property standards by-law has been violated. If the property does not conform to the by-law, a property standards order is issued to the owner of the property.
