TAKE NOTICE a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment application has been received affecting the
property described above. The application was deemed complete on April 14, 2026 pursuant to Section
34 (12) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, amended.

Purpose and Effect: The application for rezoning is required to satisfy a condition of Consent File B57-
25. The severed lot is 0.64 ha (1.6 ac) in area and will be rezoned from Special Agricultural Zone Two
(A-2) to Special Agricultural Zone One (A-1) for a non-farm residential use, to permit only a single
detached dwelling and accessory uses. The retained lot is 20.3 ha (50.2 ac) in area and will be rezoned from Agricultural Zone (A) and Special Agricultural Zone Two (A-2) to Special Agricultural Zone (A-319) to prohibit any new permanent residential dwellings. The site-specific nature of the A-319 Zone is to permit a reduction in the required lot area for an agricultural use from 22 ha to 20.3 ha and to permit a reduction in the required lot frontage for an agricultural use from 200 m to 126 m.

support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION or QUESTIONS relating to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment,
we encourage you to contact the Planner directly and information available upon request and will be
shared virtually where possible. If required, arrangements can be made to have a package prepared
and available for pick up at the Municipality of West Perth office.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in
support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment. There are several ways to
participate in the public meeting and/or submit feedback on the application:

  2. SUBMIT WRITTEN COMMENTS to the Municipal Clerk at clerk@westperth.com . Comments
    will form part of the public record and will be circulated to Council and Staff. Please be aware
    that if you are submitting correspondence to the Municipality of West Perth regarding this
    application, your name, contact information, and communications may become party of the
    public record that will be available to the public, pursuant to the Planning Act and the Municipal
    Freedom of Information and Protection and Privacy Act.
  3. SPEAK TO THE COMMITTEE remotely by pre-registering with the Clerk by emailing
    clerk@westperth.com . Upon receipt of your email, you will receive a reply with instructions for
    obtaining your unique Zoom link in order to participate in the Public meeting.
  4. ATTEND THE MEETING IN PERSON at the Municipality of West Perth Office (160 Wellington
    Street, Mitchell, ON). Any members of the public who wish to speak to an application will be
    given the opportunity to do so.
