Community Safety & Well Being Workshop
Free LivingWorks safeTALK Training Coming to West Perth
In recognition of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB), in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), is offering free LivingWorks safeTALK training sessions for community members aged 18 and older throughout October and November.
A LivingWorks safeTALK workshop will be held at the West Perth Municipal Office on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
About the Workshop
LivingWorks safeTALK is a free, four-hour, in-person workshop designed to help participants build confidence in:
- Recognizing when someone may be thinking about suicide
- Starting an open and supportive conversation
- Connecting someone with appropriate supports and resources
This training provides community members with practical skills to help support suicide prevention and contribute to a safer, more supportive community.

Cost: Free
Eligibility: Community members aged 18 and older
