The Municipality of West Perth actively enforces its Parking By-law to ensure order and safety for vehicles, pedestrians and residents.
Common examples of parking infractions:
I just received a ticket. What are my options? |
1. Pay the fine Early payment within 7 days of infraction or voluntary payment of set fine within 15-days of infraction In person:
2. Request a trial If you intend to plead not guilty - you may fill out the Notice of Intention to Appear and mail to or drop off at the Municipal office within 15 days of infraction. |
What happens if I don't pay my ticket? |
If payment has not been made within 15-days of the date of infraction or request for trial has not been made, the owner of the vehicle plate will receive a Notice of Impending Conviction (NIC) Letter in the mail. If payment has not been received by the date indicated on the NIC letter, the ticket will be sent to the Provincial Offences Court and all payments must be completed through the Court. Additional administrative charges will be applied. Note: Failure to pay your parking ticket once it has been sent to the Court will result in the inability to renew your license plate sticker until outstanding fines have been paid. |
