Refreshment Vehicle Licence Application

To operate a refreshment vehicle in West Perth you must have a licence. Refreshment vehicles include food trucks, ice-cream carts, hotdog carts and food trailers. They may be mobile or stay in one spot. Refreshment vehicles must follow the Municipality of West Perth Refreshment Vehicle By-law.

Open Air Burns

If you are planning to have an open air burn, please notify the fire department by completing our online form or call 519-348-8429 ext.222. Please take time to review the Open Air Burning By-law, and by doing Open Air Burning you are required to have:

A responsible person must supervise the fire at all times;
Fire located 150ft away from bush lots, roads, structures etc.
Burn is limited between dawn to dusk;
Extinguishable source nearby (i.e. water hose);
Clean wood, dried brush only, no plastics or pressure treated wood;
Complaints may terminate permit
Permits must come in before 3:30pm on Friday for proceeding weekend.
Approval must be obtained no later than 30-minutes prior to the start of the burn.

Note: you must wait to receive confirmation from staff prior to starting your burn. Leaving a message or clicking submit does not give you permission to burn.

Recreational Fires (Camp Fires) do not require a burn permit, but must abide by the following as per the Open Air Burning By-law:

Fire must be no bigger than 3 feet x 3 feet;
A responsible person must supervise the fire at all times;
Extinguishable source nearby (i.e. water hose);
Clean wood only, no plastics or pressure treated wood.
