Where the gentle banks of the historic Thames River meets the cross-roads
of Highway 23 and Highway 8, 19 km west of Stratford, there you'll
find Mitchell, a bustling town in the centre of Western Ontario's
richest farmland.
Enjoy Mitchell's small town ambience. Home to a host of
shops, restaurants, and historical treasures. Saunter down
main street and let one of our exciting restaurants serve you.
The Lions Park and pavilion on the west side of the
Thames River offers a quiet, leisurely place to enjoy a picnic or
just take a break from driving, and, in summer, a refreshing swim
in the outdoor pool. Allow the children to watch the ducks,
geese, and swans on the river, deer in the pens, and our collection
of birds. The river above the dam provides an excellent place
for canoeing and is the location of the Dragon Boat Races in July.
Play a round of golf on our 18 hole course; follow our historical
walking tour, or the Thames Trail on the east side of the Thames
River. Tour the beautiful countryside and perhaps visit one of our
neighbouring farms.
There is never a shortage of fun and relaxation once you experience
the lifestyle and people of West Perth.
Come visit us soon!
