Property Taxes
- Property tax notices are mailed out in February (includes February and May installments) and in August (includes August and November installments).
- Installments due are due the last business day in February, May, August and November
- Taxes may be paid in person at the Clerk’s Office or sent by mail, post-dated cheques, internet banking, telephone banking, or by pre-authorized payments. (Download PRE-AUTHORIZED PAYMENT FORM - PDF)

Dog Licenses
- Dog tag licenses will be mailed or a collector will be come to your door in late spring each year.
- Dog tags are available at the Clerk’s Office as well.
- Fees: $15 first dog and tag, $20 second dog, $25 third and each successive dog.
- Kennel License - New $105.00, Kennel License - Renewal $55
Garbage/Landfills
Bag tags are required on each bag of garbage.
Garbage is collected in weekly in Mitchell Ward and bi-weekly in Logan, Hibbert and Fullarton Wards.

- Bag tag cost: $2 each
- Bag tags can be purchased at the Clerk’s office, Valumart, Mac’s, Mitchell Gas Bar and Hometown Variety.
- Tags can be purchased in Hibbert Ward at Dublin Feed Mill.
- Tags can be purchased in Logan Ward at Wietersen’s Store in Bornholm and Dan’s Variety in Monkton.
- Tags can be purchased in Fullarton Ward at the Fullarton Store.
Recycling
- Blue boxes are available at the Clerk’s Office at a cost of $8.00 each.
- Damaged blue boxes – bring your old one in for a free replacement.
- Blue box collection schedule information is on “Waste Management Schedule”.
- If some of your items are not being collected from your blue box, read the list of items which cannot be accepted for recycling - PDF file.
Composters
Backyard composters can help reduce the amount of waste you put at the curb. Composters are available from the Clerk's Office, please call for information or to place an order.
Mitchell Fair/Agricultural Society
Mitchell Fair is held on Labour Day weekend at Keterson Park grounds, Arena/Community Centre and Crystal Palace.
