This is very beneficial to the future of West Perth as it not only helps the environment by decreasing the amount of waste disposed in our landfills, but also increases the life expectancy of our landfills and reduces operational costs.

The Municipality of West Perth is dedicated to providing its residents with a quality service for recyclables collection. For this reason, the Bluewater Recycling Association (BRA) has been contracted to provide the municipality with recycling services. Please click here to go to the Recycling section of the BRA website.
Click here for a list of acceptable recyclables.
The plastics recycling industry is difficult to predict and often there are no economical destinations for plastic products. For this reason BRA limits the types of plastics it will accept, rather than accepting all plastics and having to landfill many of them.
Click here for more information on plastics recycling.
**Note: Plastic bale wrap can be dropped off at the Mitchell Landfill free of charge! This plastic will then be recycled into plastic lumber. For more information on the recycling process follow this link to www.thinkplastics.ca
