Fire Chief's Message:

Welcome to the official website for the West Perth Fire Department.  This website is an important tool to facilitate communication about fire services and fire safety. The fire service has identified a three pronged approach to a total community fire safety program:

  1. Public Fire Safety Education.
  2. Fire Prevention Inspections and Code Enforcement under the Ontario Fire Code.
  3. Emergency Fire Response

We hope that this website will assist you in becoming more aware of our efforts in these three areas and, most importantly, the fire safety measures you can take to protect your family and property.

Our service is provided by the Municipality of West Perth and supported by municipal taxes.  We are regulated by a provincial statute - The Fire Protection and Prevention Act.  The Office of the Fire Marshal for the Province of Ontario monitors services and provides guidelines to municipalities regarding fire protection under this piece of legislation.

We have included a number of links which will provide you with a host of fire service and safety information to browse through - there are even links with fire safety activities for children to enjoy on the Kids Page.

We are interested in your feedback and suggestions to make our site as “customer friendly” as possible. Please feel free to contact us with your comments.

Our most important asset is the dedicated group of committed and highly trained individuals who make up our department.  We hope you will join our “team” by educating yourself and your family to be as fire safety conscious as possible.

Thanks for visiting and come back again.
