The Energy & Environment Committee is a Sub Committee of West Perth Council. They meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building in Mitchell. The Committee is responsible for the following projects:

Wetlands
West Perth Nature Trails
Promotions
Memorial Forest
Forestry

One of the most successful events of the Energy & Environment Committee is the annual River Clean Up event which takes place in early Spring. In 2010 the committee welcomed over 100 members of the public in the Lions Park to help clean up and keep our parks and rivers clean. Volunteers were treated to a hot lunch and a chance at many valuable door prizes donated by local businesses.
