Reporting to the Mayor and Council, The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is responsible to Municipal Council for ensuring the broad mandate of administrative and operational requirements of the Municipality are carried out. All Municipal Department Heads report directly to the CAO and through collaboration, the Municipality realizes efficient and effective service delivery to all citizens and customers.
The CAO oversees the administration (e.g. day to day activities) of all departments to implement the Corporation’s policies and procedures as set by Council through by-law, resolution or as otherwise established. All Staff members endeavor to assist and support Council in making the best possible decisions and in implementing those decisions efficiently and effectively.
In doing so, the CAO is responsible for coordinating all Human Resource Management functions.
