The archives is dedicated to developing an increased awareness
and understanding of our community's past.
The Stratford-Perth Archives was started in 1972 and is operated by the City of Stratford and the County of Perth. It functions as the municipal archives for the city and county as well as the 2 school boards. It is also the repository for any individual, family, or group records. Approximately 40% of the users are genealogists. Others include students, home owners, special committees (book, reunion). The Stratford-Perth archives has three divisions, Stratford, Listowel, and Mitchell. The Mitchell division opened in 1984 and serves the entire municipality of West Perth.
